According to the letter, Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem announced that she is no longer the General Director of Sacombank . Currently, Sacombank has not announced any information about this.

“There are some lines that are difficult to start with. Because how can we wrap up all those emotions, all those memories of nearly 8 years – a challenging but also beautiful journey – in one farewell?”, Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem began her letter.

In the letter, Ms. Diem affirmed that she has lived, dared to do, and devoted herself to the journey of restructuring, recovery, and growth of Sacombank. However, Ms. Diem wrote that she understands that every journey has an end, and every meeting must come to a time of parting.

However, Ms. Diem revealed that she will continue to be a member of Sacombank's Board of Directors even though she is no longer in the position of General Director.

“Today, I say goodbye to the position of General Director - the person who directly steers the ship of operations to focus on planning a new direction for Sacombank with the members of the Board of Directors.”

Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem was born in 1973 in Quang Ngai . She is considered an excellent CEO in the banking sector, a "hero" who revived Sacombank, which had struggled with the restructuring process for a long time.

Ms. Diem has been with Sacombank since 2002 as an accountant. Before being appointed as General Director, she held the position of Deputy General Director in charge of the South Central - Central Highlands region, then Deputy General Director in charge of debt settlement.

In July 2017, Ms. Diem was appointed General Director of Sacombank.

Sacombank recently also announced information about the list of shareholders owning 1% of charter capital, including: PYN Elite Fund owns 5.77%; Mr. Duong Cong Minh (Chairman of the Board of Directors) owns 3.32%; SCB Vietnam Alpha Fund 1.47%; Norges Bank 1.27%; Tianhong Vietnam Thematic Fund 1.18%; and Amersham Industries Limited owns 1%.
