Summary of 10 years of the national movement to protect national security in the new situation

Colonel Le Thanh Hung – Deputy Director of the Provincial Police and Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee co-chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were leaders of departments, branches, sectors and units and localities in the province.

Implementing the Coordination Program No. 09, over the past 10 years, the police force, the Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations in the province have stepped up legal propaganda; warned about the methods and tricks of criminals, and mobilized people to actively participate in preventing crimes and social evils. The provincial police have created nearly 9,000 news articles to propagate and popularize the Party's policies and the State's laws; and introduced typical models and examples.

The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized more than 2,400 seminars on law dissemination and social evil prevention, and model building in the movement of the entire people to protect national security. The police, the Front and district-level member organizations coordinated to organize more than 2,000 sessions on crime prevention for the people; conducted calls, questions, deterrence, and education for over 39,000 law violators. In building the "Self-prevention and self-management" model, up to now, the whole province has 27 models in 6 fields that have been replicated in 819 localities, of which 2 models have been introduced and replicated by the Ministry of Public Security : "Security cameras to prevent crime", "Security and order-safe boarding houses and rental houses".

At the conference, representatives of sectors, organizations and localities reported on the situation and results achieved, and raised issues in building a movement for the entire people to protect national security. At the same time, they affirmed that building a movement for the entire people to protect national security is an important task, both urgent and strategic, long-term, requiring high unity in ideology and action of each organization and individual. Concluding the conference, Colonel Le Thanh Hung requested the Public Security force, the Fatherland Front and member organizations at all levels in the province to continue to specify the content of the coordination program, linking the movement for the entire people to protect national security with campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.

Focus on effectively implementing preventive measures and combating all types of crimes, law violations, and social evils; directing the successful development of typical communes, wards, towns, agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions in the mass movement to protect national security. Promote legal propaganda activities; build and replicate advanced models in the mass movement to protect national security in the direction of "self-prevention, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation"...

On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 5 individuals; the Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit to 25 collectives and 35 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing the Coordination Program No. 09 on "Promoting the movement of the entire people to protect national security in the new situation", period 2013 - 2023.
