The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft Law on Planning (amended)

Today (September 25), continuing the 49th Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Law on Planning (amended) and a number of other important contents.

According to the program, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang will present the basic content of the draft Law on Planning (amended).

After that, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee will present a summary of the review report and propose issues for the National Assembly to focus on discussing.

The Ministry of Finance said that the goal of drafting the Law on Planning (amended) is to build a Law on Planning with a general scope of regulation for all types of development planning nationwide.

The legal system on planning is built synchronously and consistently with relevant laws so that planning is truly an effective tool of the State in planning and creating development space, making the most of opportunities, and overcoming difficulties and limitations in the new context.

Also in this meeting, the Standing Committee will give opinions on the proposed 2026 Audit Plan, 2025 work report and the State Audit's term work report.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also gave opinions on amending the financial management mechanism and specific income of the State Audit according to Submission No. 1042/TTr-KTNN dated August 21, 2025 of the State Audit.

The State Auditor General will present a summary report on these two contents. The Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee will present a summary of the audit report.
