General Secretary To Lam attends the 1st National Assembly Party Congress

(Dan Tri) - The 1st National Assembly Party Congress was attended by 297 official delegates. General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and many leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the Congress.

On the morning of September 25, General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders and former leaders attended the official session of the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, was attended by 297 official delegates, who are typical party members representing 2,800 party members operating in 11 party committees under the National Assembly Party Committee. Of these, 38 were ex-officio delegates and 259 delegates were appointed by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee.

In his opening remarks at the first National Assembly Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that since its establishment, the National Assembly Party Committee has upheld the spirit of unity, overcome all difficulties, and innovated in its leadership and guidance, effectively performing its functions of constitutional drafting, legislation, supreme supervision, and making decisions on important national issues.

In particular, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has led and directed the completion of a large number of tasks to institutionalize the Party's strategic and historically significant policies and decisions, creating an important legal basis to serve the requirements of economic, cultural and social development, building the political system, preventing corruption, waste and negativity, and strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the country's reality is posing urgent problems that need to be solved, the people are waiting and expecting the Party and State's decisions, requiring the National Assembly to continue to innovate its thinking and working methods.

The Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized the important significance of this Congress in that, together with the entire Party, it will shape strategic and epoch-making activities, lead the country's development, make the legal system a competitive advantage, a breakthrough within a breakthrough, and usher the country into a new era, an era of national progress.

Guided by the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough," the Congress will consider and decide on many important issues, including summarizing the activities of the National Assembly Party Committee during the 2020-2025 term and determining the direction, objectives, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Previously, General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders and former leaders visited the exhibition "National Assembly Party Committee: Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough".

The exhibition provides an overview of the important milestones and outstanding achievements of the Party Caucus and the Party Committee of the National Assembly in the legislative activities, decision-making on important national issues, supervision, foreign affairs, and Party building of the 15th National Assembly.

With nearly 200 carefully selected images and documents, the Exhibition reflects the journey of construction and development of the National Assembly Party Committee (formerly the 15th National Assembly Party Delegation) in the new period.
