Summary of 10 years of implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo

On the afternoon of April 28, 2025, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 4 held a Conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle (2016-2025). Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Region Command chaired the conference.

Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 Command, awarded collectives and individuals with good achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive 05.

In the period of 2016 - 2025, the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 4 and Party committees and organizations at all levels in the entire Party Committee of the Region have focused on leading and implementing the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in a strict, serious, practical and effective manner, contributing to building exemplary clean and strong Party organizations, "exemplary and typical" comprehensively strong units, successfully completing all assigned tasks.

Through studying and following Uncle Ho, many good models and effective methods have emerged, specifically: the model of the "4 Good" Party Cell, exemplary Party members performing the "5 responsibilities" in the Regional Party Committee; the model of "Charitable Meals" of the Women's Union of the Regional Command for patients in difficult circumstances at Phu Quoc General Hospital... Thereby, actively contributing to spreading the image and good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" - the Coast Guard soldiers.

From the practical implementation of the Politburo's Directive 05, there has been a positive and comprehensive change in the results of completing the tasks of the Regional Command as well as agencies and units. Over the past 10 years, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command has been awarded 1 Second Class Feat of Arms Medal; 1 Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal; 5 times the Ministry of National Defense and the Coast Guard Command have awarded the Flag of the leading unit in the emulation movement to win; nearly 700 collectives and 1,900 individuals have been commended at all levels.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Regional Command, acknowledged and commended the outstanding results achieved by Party committees and organizations at all levels as well as all cadres, party members and people in the entire Party Committee and the Regional Command in the 10 years of implementing Directive 05.

The Party Secretary requested that Party committees and organizations at all levels continue to do a good job of disseminating, educating, raising awareness and responsibility for cadres and soldiers about the position, significance and importance of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in the new period; research and apply good, creative and effective ways so that studying and following Uncle Ho does not stop at awareness but must be concretized by the most specific and practical actions; focus on doing a good job of fostering and spreading advanced models in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in the coming time...
