Vietnam General Confederation of Labor works with Provincial Labor Federation

On April 5, 2024, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the VGCL, had a working session with the Provincial Federation of Labor on the plan to rearrange and handle houses and land of trade union organizations in Lang Son province. Attending the meeting were Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

Overview of the working session

The Provincial Federation of Labor is a trade union organization in the province, directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, so the plan to rearrange and handle the houses and land managed and used by the Provincial Federation of Labor will be approved by the Minister of Finance, based on the plan prepared by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and submitted according to the Government's regulations. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor is managing and using 4 houses and land including: the headquarters of the Provincial Federation of Labor in Chi Lang ward, Lang Son city; the Vocational Education Center of Lang Son Trade Union (old) in Hoang Van Thu ward, Lang Son city; Lang Son Trade Union Hotel and Tourism Joint Stock Company in Tam Thanh ward, Lang Son city; headquarters of the Van Quan District Federation of Labor, Van Quan town.

At the meeting, delegates exchanged and discussed plans to arrange and handle housing and land facilities managed by the Provincial Federation of Labor, raised difficulties and problems and proposed solutions for implementation.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, agreed on the plan to retain and continue using the premises and land of the Provincial Federation of Labor's headquarters; at the same time, he requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to pay attention to, create conditions for, and promptly carry out the procedures for submitting to the Ministry of Finance to transfer public assets, which are the premises and land of the Lang Son Trade Union Vocational Education Center (old) to the Provincial People's Committee to hand over to the City People's Committee to build a kindergarten. Regarding the premises and land of the Lang Son Trade Union Hotel and Tourism Joint Stock Company and the headquarters of the Van Quan District Federation of Labor, he requested the Finance Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the specialized agencies of the province to continue to coordinate in inspecting the current situation, as a basis for developing a plan to rearrange and handle the premises and land, and report to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor according to regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, agreed with the proposed contents of the People's Committee of Lang Son province. At the same time, he requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to advise and propose specific plans for the houses and land facilities under management and use; continue to coordinate to review and complete the dossier, and have a written proposal sent to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to carry out procedures to submit to the Ministry of Finance for consideration and approval according to regulations.
