In a quiet space filled with historical imprints, General Secretary To Lam introduced to the French President the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh , who devoted his entire life to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause.

French President Macron visited the Stilt House - where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from 1958 to 1969.
The building is a two-story wooden structure with a tiled roof, built in 1958, in the style of a Tay - Thai ethnic stilt house in the Viet Bac resistance zone, where President Ho Chi Minh was associated during the 9 years of resistance war.

In particular, General Secretary To Lam and French President Emmanuel Macron planted a friendship tree at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site.
This symbolic event is not only a new milestone in the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and France, but also shows respect for President Ho Chi Minh - who lived, studied and carried out revolutionary activities in France and always had good feelings for the French people.

The visit and tree planting activity of French President Emmanuel Macron and General Secretary To Lam at the Relic Site is a meaningful event, vividly demonstrating the traditional and future-oriented cooperative relationship between the two countries.
This is also an opportunity to arouse pride and awareness of environmental protection and preserve the ideological and moral values of President Ho Chi Minh in the hearts of every Vietnamese citizen and international friends.

More than a century ago, in 1911, when he set out to find a way to save the country, Uncle Ho chose France as his first destination. 35 years after the above event, in 1946, as the head of the Vietnamese Government, President Ho Chi Minh also visited France for the first time.
Looking back at the Vietnam - France relationship in all fields, both in history and at present, especially in the past 50 years, it has developed remarkably, in the spirit of closing the past and looking towards the future. It is the effort of the two countries to build together a trustworthy political relationship; a dynamic and effective economic relationship; extensive and comprehensive scientific and technological cooperation; and a rich and diverse cultural and social exchange relationship.
