Appreciating the role of the United Nations in supporting member countries in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and responding to climate change, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet informed about the progress of implementing cooperation projects within the framework of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) and affirmed Vietnam's determination in implementing international commitments related to climate change and energy transition.
Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet shared the Advisor's opinion that multilateral cooperation is facing many challenges and affirmed that Vietnam will continue to cooperate closely with the United Nations to strengthen multilateralism with the United Nations playing a central role.

The Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General emphasized that climate change will remain a priority in the UN's activities in the coming time; shared that he was very impressed with what Vietnam has done in the past to transform its economy ; and said that the speed of transformation needs to be appropriate to the capacity of each country.
He affirmed that the United Nations will continue to support Vietnam in implementing cooperation projects in the fields of climate change and energy transition, especially promoting countries and financial institutions to provide preferential loans to Vietnam.
