On the afternoon of October 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee to listen to the Provincial Tax Department report on the results of state budget collection in the first 9 months of 2024 and key tasks and solutions for budget collection in the last 3 months of 2024. Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were leaders of a number of departments, branches and districts and cities.

By the end of September 2024, total domestic revenue reached more than VND 7,500 billion, reaching 87.5% of the estimate, up 39.9% over the same period in 2023. Of which, revenue from taxes and fees after deducting land use fees reached more than VND 3,830 billion, reaching 78.9% of the estimate, up 6.3% over the same period in 2023. 11/16 revenue targets met the schedule and 5/16 revenue targets did not meet the schedule; in particular, many revenue targets achieved a high rate compared to the estimate such as: Revenue from foreign-invested enterprises reached 119%, personal income tax revenue reached 123%, land use fee revenue reached 98.8%, and mineral exploitation rights fee revenue reached 237.7%.

Delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying the difficulties in state budget collection, on that basis proposing solutions for budget collection in the last 3 months of 2024.

In his concluding remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee highly appreciated the efforts of departments, branches, districts and cities in implementing the state budget collection work; at the same time, requested departments, branches, districts and cities to review the tasks of 2024 on that basis, determine the remaining tasks, the remaining revenues to have solutions to urge timely collection; assign specific responsibilities to officials; strengthen coordination between members of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee and coordination between tax authorities and sectors: police, customs, finance, market management... in the process of implementing the budget collection task; enhance the role, sense of responsibility and at the same time pay attention to focusing on directing the state budget collection work, identifying this as an important political task to focus on timely leadership and direction; strictly manage the use of electronic invoices; Disseminate and guide businesses on their responsibilities and obligations to pay taxes to the state as well as the mechanisms and policies that businesses enjoy to ensure publicity and transparency; speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, and remove difficulties for investors implementing projects in the area.

For the Provincial Tax Department, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee requested to strictly implement the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the province in tax collection management; have a specific plan for debt collection and tax debt enforcement for each enterprise to gradually reduce tax debts, not to let new tax debts arise; strictly implement tax debt collection; strengthen inspection, examination and reform of tax administrative procedures; focus on propaganda work, especially mechanisms and policies to support taxpayers.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial State Budget Collection Steering Committee also assigned specific tasks to each department and branch in the process of coordinating with the tax sector to strive to exceed the budget collection target in terms of taxes, fees and land use fees.
