Toyota Motor Thailand confirmed that it will introduce the Hybrid version of the 2025 Yaris ATIV (also known as Toyota Vios) on August 21, 2025, marking the global debut of this B-class sedan.

The 2025 Yaris ATIV HYbrid will have two versions including the Yaris ATIV HEV Premium and Yaris ATIV HEV GR Sport, equipped with the same 1.5 Full Hybrid HEV powertrain as the Yaris Cross but tweaked accordingly.

Yaris ATIV Hybrid uses a 1.5L 4-cylinder DOHC gasoline engine code 2NR-VEX producing 91 horsepower and maximum torque of 121 Nm, combined with an electric motor with a capacity of 80 horsepower, torque of 141 Nm, for a total capacity of 111 horsepower.

The car uses an e-CVT automatic transmission, front-wheel drive, a 0.7 kWh Lithium-ion battery and supports E20 fuel. According to the manufacturer's announcement, the car has a maximum speed of 160 km/h and fuel consumption of 26.3 km/l.

The car is expected to have a series of high-end amenities and modern safety technology such as 64-color interior lighting, electronic handbrake with integrated Auto Brake Hold, smart lock...

The car will be equipped with push-button start, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic air conditioning with rear seat vents, 360-degree camera, blind spot warning and cross-traffic alert when reversing.

In addition, the car also has an ADAS system with blind spot warning, cross-traffic warning when reversing, Toyota Safety Sense safety system (including features such as: collision warning and automatic braking,...

Other features like lane departure warning with steering assist, lead vehicle departure alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, 360-degree camera and more can be added.

After Thailand, some other markets such as Laos or Cambodia, this model is also known as Toyota Viosn HEV is expected to be launched soon. If Toyota Vios in Vietnam is upgraded to a new generation, this will be the model to replace the current generation.

Experts predict that with the advantages of fuel economy, rich equipment and prestigious brand, Yaris ATIV Hybrid will be a formidable competitor in the B-class sedan segment, especially in Southeast Asian markets, where the demand for hybrid cars is increasing rapidly.
