Merging and renaming many schools

According to the Plan for reorganizing the internal organizational structure of administrative agencies, public service units and state-owned enterprises in Can Tho City, there are 1,184 public service units (PSUs) in the education sector, including: Preschool and general education with 1,141 schools (Preschool education 329 schools; Primary education 483 schools; Secondary education 238 schools; High school education 92 public schools).
Continuing education (GDTX) has 30 units, including: 3 GDTX centers, 27 vocational education centers (GDNN); Educational facilities for people with disabilities include: 3 Specialized Education schools and a Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education. In addition, the city has one University and 8 vocational colleges.
Implementing Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, the city basically maintains the existing high schools, middle schools, primary schools, inter-level schools, and public kindergartens. Review and merge small-scale, substandard schools in the direction of streamlining, reducing focal points, and improving the quality of operations.
Merge vocational education centers and continuing education centers into vocational secondary schools equivalent to high school level under the Department of Education and Training to provide public services in inter-ward and commune areas. Specifically, arrange 30 units (3 Continuing Education Centers, 27 Continuing Education Centers) into 14 Continuing Education - Continuing Education Centers under the Department of Education and Training.
Merge Can Tho College into Can Tho College of Economics and Technology; merge Soc Trang Vocational College into Can Tho Vocational College; merge Hau Giang Community College, Can Tho College of Culture and Arts into Soc Trang Community College (receive the Teacher Training Faculty of Can Tho College).

Merge Ninh Kieu District Future School into the School for Children with Disabilities and change its name to Can Tho City Special Education School; Rename 16 schools (including 15 schools and 01 Center). These units are under the management of the Department of Education and Training.
For schools under the People's Committees at the commune level, 37 schools will be renamed; 16 schools will be merged (of which 14 schools are under the People's Committees of communes, 2 schools are under the People's Committees of wards) into 8 schools. For Can Tho University of Technology (autonomous unit of group 2), the arrangement will be carried out according to the Plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Maintain Can Tho Medical College; Southern Intermediate Pali Cultural Supplementary School. Arrange schools accordingly after arranging administrative units.

Regarding the health sector, Can Tho City has 61 units under the Department of Health, including: 23 hospitals, 22 health centers, 16 centers with prevention, protection, forensic and testing functions. At the commune and ward levels, there are 103 commune and ward health stations and facilities located in the communes and wards before the merger.
Seriously implementing Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health, Can Tho City has perfected a modern preventive health system with sufficient capacity to monitor, give early warnings, promptly control epidemics and proactively organize and implement disease prevention activities.
At the same time, maintain the existing city-level public hospitals; promote socialization in places with sufficient conditions. Maintain the city with at least one specialized hospital; have a geriatric hospital or a general hospital with a geriatric department.

Specifically, the organization of 9 hospitals in Can Tho City is arranged, including: Can Tho General Hospital; Children's Hospital; Eye - Maxillofacial Hospital; Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital; Dermatology Hospital; Oncology Hospital; Mental Hospital; Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital; Military and Civilian Medical Hospital); 18 Medical Centers (Regional Medical Centers: Binh Thuy; Vinh Chau; Cai Rang; Nga Nam; Thoi Lai; My Xuyen; O Mon; My Tu; Thot Not; Thanh Tri; Vinh Thanh; Vi Thuy; Long My; Phung Hiep; Chau Thanh; Chau Thanh A; Cu Lao Dung; Ke Sach).
Merging and merging 4 Medical Centers (MCs), including: merging Long Phu Regional Medical Center and Tran De Regional Medical Center into Long Phu Regional Medical Center; merging Soc Trang Regional Medical Center and Chau Thanh Regional Medical Center into Soc Trang Regional Medical Center); 16 Centers with prevention, protection, forensic, and testing functions.
Rename 10 hospitals, including: Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital of Can Tho City; Hau Giang General Hospital; Hau Giang Province Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital; Hau Giang Province Psychiatric and Dermatology Hospital; Hau Giang Province Lung Hospital; Soc Trang Province General Hospital; Soc Trang Province Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital; Soc Trang Province Military and Civilian Hospital; Soc Trang Province February 27 Specialized Hospital; Soc Trang Province April 30 Hospital.
Establish 103 commune and ward health stations under the People's Committees at the commune level with medical examination points on the basis of the current 103 commune health stations to meet the needs of disease prevention, primary health care, and basic medical examination and treatment for the people in the area. Improve the quality and effectiveness of grassroots health care.
