Ho Chi Minh City: Binh Chanh District Hospital has a new director

On April 28, Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, presented the decision to appoint Director of Binh Chanh District Hospital to Master, Doctor, Doctor, Doctor II Vo Ngoc Cuong (54 years old). The term of office is 5 years.

Dr. Vo Ngoc Cuong has a degree in maxillofacial plastic surgery and medical management. He used to hold the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease Treatment, and Deputy Executive Director of Binh Chanh District Hospital.

Speaking at the decision-receiving ceremony, Master-Doctor Cuong shared that he will strive with the Party Committee, the Hospital Board of Directors and medical staff to unite, bond, and promote the capacity of each member to strengthen internal strength. From there, Binh Chanh District Hospital will become a complete general hospital to better care for patients.

Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong hopes that Binh Chanh District Hospital will improve its professional capacity, strengthen cooperation with upper-level hospitals to deploy more specialized techniques. Improve emergency and resuscitation capacity. Increase satisfaction for patients and medical staff.

"Hospitals should think creatively and boldly make breakthroughs in development strategies to increase income and improve the lives of medical staff within the permitted regulations," Mr. Thuong emphasized.

First time opening satellite clinic in Binh Chanh district

On this occasion, for the first time, Binh Chanh District Hospital opened a satellite clinic located at Vinh Loc B Commune Health Station in the district. This is an "extended arm" of Binh Chanh District Hospital with 11 doctors and nurses mobilized here to work, examine, treat and provide first aid to the people.

Mr. Vo Duc Thanh, Chairman of Binh Chanh District People's Committee, said that Binh Chanh District is located at the western-southwestern gateway of the city, has a large area and a large population. For many years, healthcare has been limited, and bringing quality healthcare to serve the people has been a concern of local leaders. "The first satellite clinic located in a densely populated commune (170,000 people) is a special mark, aiming to provide healthcare services to all classes of people, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment and healthcare for people in the area and neighboring areas. This model will then be gradually expanded to all communes and towns into a network in the district, in line with the common goal of developing Binh Chanh District into a city by 2025," Mr. Thanh shared.
