Ho Chi Minh City draws lots to select 66 officials to verify assets and income in the first phase of 2025

HCM, the number of agencies, organizations and units selected by the HCM City People's Committee to verify assets and income in the first phase of 2025 is 19 agencies, organizations and units, including: City Law Newspaper, Saigon Economic Magazine, Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, City Cooperative Alliance, Saigon Agricultural Corporation - LLC, Saigon Industrial Corporation - LLC, Saigon Trading Corporation - LLC, Saigon Pharmaceutical Corporation - LLC (SapharCo), Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden LLC, Ly Tu Trong Technical College of the City, City College of Culture and Arts, Thu Thiem College of the City, City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board, District 2 Service and Public Service Company Limited, District 4 Service and Public Service Company Limited, District 9 Service and Public Service Company Limited, Binh Thanh District Service and Public Service Company Limited, Can Gio District Service and Public Service Company Limited.

Representatives of 19 agencies and units drew lots to select 66 officials to verify assets and income in the first phase of 2025.

As a result of the draw, 66 officials from the 19 agencies and units mentioned above were selected to verify their assets and income in the first phase, 2025.

Speaking at the program, Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Van Bay assessed that the lottery program took place seriously, following the correct procedures, openly, transparently, objectively and in accordance with legal regulations on asset and income verification.

The verification of assets and income is to check and clarify the declared contents; review, evaluate and conclude on the truthfulness, completeness and clarity of the declaration and the truthfulness in explaining the origin of assets and additional income of the person obliged to declare in order to prevent corruption, serve the work of cadres, promptly detect corruption, prevent the dissipation of corrupt assets, and recover corrupt assets.

Thereby, assessing the current status of compliance with legal regulations on declaration, disclosure and control of assets and income. In addition, the verification of assets and income helps raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the work of declaration, disclosure and control of assets and income; gradually affirming the role of asset and income control in preventing and combating corruption and negativity.

According to Mr. Tran Van Bay, the verification of assets and income is a regular task, carried out annually with the aim of detecting limitations and shortcomings in the declaration of assets and income of the verified person. Therefore, he requested the leaders of the 19 agencies, organizations and units selected for verification in the first phase of 2025 to lead and direct the individuals selected for verification of their units to proactively provide information related to the verification content when requested by the Asset and Income Verification Team.

At the same time, be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided; fully and promptly implement the requests of the Asset and Income Verification Team, competent agencies, organizations and individuals during the asset and income verification process; explain the honesty, completeness and clarity of the declaration, the origin of assets and additional income.
