The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just announced the number of students registering for their first choice in grade 10 at public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, 76,4351 students registered for the 10th grade exam. Compared to the number of 9th grade students in the 2024-2025 school year, there are 12,000 students who did not register for the 10th grade exam.

The number of students choosing specific grade 10 preferences for each high school is as follows:

Accordingly, high schools with top 10th grade benchmark scores still maintain a high level of competition. For example: Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (Tan Binh District), Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (District 3), Bui Thi Xuan (District 1)...

Schools with few candidates registering for their first choice are: Duong Van Duong High School, Phuoc Kien High School, Da Phuoc High School... all in Nha Be District. These are usually the schools that many candidates choose as their third choice because they often have low admission scores.

Based on the announced data of students registering for their first choice, from May 14 to 5:00 p.m. on May 19, parents and students can adjust their 10th grade choice.
