On the occasion of April 30, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will have 13 projects in the cultural and social fields started and completed. Of these, 7 projects will be completed and 6 new projects will be started.

On the occasion of April 30, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will have 13 projects in the cultural and social fields started and completed. Of these, 7 projects will be completed and 6 new projects will be started.

The Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City has just reported to the City People's Committee on the progress of implementing 28 public investment projects in the cultural and social fields in the list of typical emulation projects at the City level to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Of the total 28 projects, 13 projects will start and be completed on April 30, 2025.

For the completed list, there are 7 projects including: new construction of Ton Duc Thang Museum; construction of Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Theater; Restoration and embellishment of Cho Quan Hospital Prison Camp relic - where comrade Tran Phu sacrificed (September 6, 1931) - phase 1; upgrading and renovating Binh Chanh - Binh Tan Martyrs Cemetery.

In addition, there are 3 medical projects inaugurated including: Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital; Thu Duc Regional General Hospital; Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (campus 2).

Regarding the newly started projects, there are 6 projects including: renovating and repairing Phu Tho Sports Gymnasium; repairing Phu Tho Sports Training Center; renovating and repairing Phu Tho Swimming and Diving Club; repairing Hoa Lu Stadium; renovating the City Cemetery (Lac Canh); expanding the belt road and ramp of the City Martyrs Cemetery.

Although 13 projects were completed and started on April 30, 2025, after review, 15 projects in the cultural and social fields were not completed and started on April 30, 2025.

Of these, there are 4 projects that cannot be completed by April 30, including: Project to build a new Cu Chi Regional General Hospital; Project to purchase equipment for Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital; Project to purchase equipment for Cu Chi Regional General Hospital; Project to purchase equipment for Thu Duc Regional General Hospital.

For the newly started projects, there are 11 projects such as the project to build the City Children's Palace; Phan Dinh Phung Stadium; renovate Thong Nhat Stadium; build the Southern Resistance Monument...

These projects are currently stuck with some planning procedures and investment policy adjustments, so they cannot start construction on April 30, 2025.

If the procedures are speeded up, 5 projects will be able to start construction in 2025. The remaining 6 projects are not expected to start construction this year.
