Construction begins on 3 roads in An Giang province with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND.

TPO - On the morning of September 27th, An Giang simultaneously commenced construction on three key transportation projects with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND, opening up a new "lifeline" connecting the Bay Nui region, reducing traffic congestion, and stimulating local tourism and economy.

Three projects have been started: the ring road project parallel to Provincial Road 942; the bypass road around Nui Sam Cultural Park - including the bridge over Xang Canal; and the project to upgrade and expand Huong Lo 11 (connecting Tan Lap commune center with Provincial Road 945).

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for projects and works to celebrate the First Congress of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, emphasized that the simultaneous implementation of the three projects is of great importance in connecting transportation infrastructure between regions, creating momentum to promote socio -economic development and improve the lives of the people.

Once completed, these routes will open up new development opportunities, facilitate the transportation and circulation of goods, and reduce traffic congestion during peak periods. They will also contribute to attracting tourists to the Bay Nui region, especially during the Via Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam Festival.

Mr. Thuc commended the efforts of the departments, agencies, investors, local authorities, households affected by the project, and consulting, supervision, and construction units for their active support in preparing and clearing the land, ensuring the progress of the groundbreaking ceremony. The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested that relevant units continue to cooperate and create favorable conditions for the projects to be completed on schedule, ensuring quality, and put into operation as soon as possible.

According to the An Giang Provincial Project Management Board, the ring road parallel to Provincial Road 942 has a total investment of 150 billion VND and is 3.6 km long.

The bridge over the Xáng canal, part of the Núi Sam Cultural Park bypass project, has a total investment of 425 billion VND.

The project to upgrade and expand Huong Highway 11 has a total capital of 222 billion VND and a total length of 22km.
