Le Chuc An shines, the Vietnamese women's golf team rises sharply in the rankings.

TPO - Le Chuc An's outstanding performance in round 2 helped her climb to 3rd place, simultaneously placing the Vietnamese women's team in the top 3 of the team event, opening up opportunities to compete for medals in the remaining rounds of the SEA Games 33.

Le Chuc An had a brilliant day of competition.

Concluding the second day of golf competition at the 33rd SEA Games at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills (Chonburi, Thailand), the rankings witnessed many changes, most notably the strong surge of the Vietnamese women's team.

Le Chuc An became a highlight, finishing the second round with a score of 68 (-4), recording 6 birdies and making 2 bogeys. Although there was still some regret at not being able to achieve a higher score, this performance was a great morale boost for the 17-year-old golfer as he heads towards the remaining two rounds.

With a total score of even par after 36 holes, Chúc An rose to 3rd place in the women's individual event, behind the two representatives from host country Thailand with total scores of (-4) and (-1) respectively. This impressive performance also significantly contributed to the Vietnamese women's team climbing to the top 3 in the team event, alongside the results of round 2 of Nguyễn Viết Gia Hân (77 strokes) and Lê Nguyễn Minh Anh (80 strokes).

In the men's event, Nguyen Anh Minh continued his consistent performance with a second consecutive under par round, finishing 71-70 after 36 holes, thus maintaining his (-3) score. Sharing a similar total score to Anh Minh was Ho Anh Huy, who played impressively in the opening round and finished the second round with 73 strokes, placing him T6 in the men's individual event.

Nguyen Anh Minh maintained his form in round 2.

The other two golfers, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Trong Hoang, shot 74 and 78 strokes respectively. Combining their best scores, the Vietnamese men's team is currently ranked 3rd in the team standings with a total score of (-1).

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong, team leader of the Vietnamese golf team, after 36 holes, all four events – men's individual, women's individual, men's team, and women's team – are in a position to compete for medals. With determination and high concentration, the entire team will make maximum effort in the final two days to aim for medals at the 33rd SEA Games.
