On the morning of December 13th, in Can Tho City, the Regional Political Academy IV (Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy) collaborated with the Can Tho City Political School to organize a ministerial-level scientific seminar on the topic "Developing private enterprises in the Mekong Delta region in accordance with Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW".

The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong - Deputy Director of the Political Academy of Region IV and Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan - Principal of the Can Tho City Political School. Attendees included representatives from universities and colleges, scientists , and several businesses in the Mekong Delta region.
At the seminar, delegates exchanged and analyzed in depth the theoretical and practical issues related to the private enterprise sector – one of the important driving forces of the socialist-oriented market economy, and also a key factor in creating breakthroughs for the growth model of the Mekong Delta region in the new context.

The discussions focused on clarifying the theoretical basis of private economic development; analyzing the new points, new perspectives, major goals, and core content of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW; assessing the impact context and the current state of private enterprise development in the Mekong Delta over the past period, thereby identifying major difficulties and bottlenecks in the development process of the region's private enterprise sector.

Based on that, delegates proposed several groundbreaking solutions to strongly develop private enterprises in the Mekong Delta, focusing on perfecting mechanisms and policies suitable to the region's characteristics; developing transportation, logistics, and digital infrastructure; improving the quality of human resources; promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and green transformation; expanding the economic space and encouraging the development of enterprises in high-tech agriculture, deep processing, logistics, green economy, and circular economy; strengthening regional linkages, value chain linkages, and building brands for Mekong Delta agricultural products.
The seminar contributed to supplementing the theoretical and practical basis, and proposed many important solutions to create a favorable environment and ecosystem for the development of private enterprises in the Mekong Delta in the new phase.
