Son Vi Commune (Tuyen Quang): Learning and exchanging experiences on economic development linked to sustainable poverty reduction.

To enhance learning and exchange of experiences in economic development associated with the implementation of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, from December 10th to 14th, a delegation from Son Vi commune (Tuyen Quang province), led by Mr. Sung Mi No, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune, organized a study tour and experience exchange in Ngoc Trao commune (Thanh Hoa province) and Tam Dao commune (Phu Tho province).

The delegation included Comrade Nguyen Huy Sac, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Son Vi commune; representatives from several departments and agencies of the commune; and the secretaries of Party branches and village heads in Son Vi commune.

A guava farmer in Ngoc Trao commune ( Thanh Hoa province ) shared his production experience with the delegation from Son Vi commune.

In Ngoc Trao commune (Thanh Hoa province), the delegation visited and learned about the guava cultivation model of Mr. Bui Minh Hai, head of Dong Ly village. Currently, Mr. Hai's family grows more than 1,500 guava trees on a total area of ​​over 1 hectare, yielding an income of approximately 350 million VND per year.

The delegation also visited the bamboo rat breeding model of Mr. Bui Van Tu (Thach Cu village), which has a scale of about 130 breeding bamboo rats, bringing in an income of about 430 million VND per year. At each location, the model owner shared many practical experiences in organizing production, caring for the animals, and linking product consumption.

Party branch secretaries and village heads of Son Vi commune ( Tuyen Quang province) visited and learned about guava cultivation models to apply them to their local practice.

Following the site visit, the delegation held a working session with the People's Committee of Ngoc Trao commune.

The two sides focused on exchanging experiences in leadership, direction, and management; leveraging local potential and advantages in economic development; applying digital transformation in production and business; and effectively implementing national target programs.

During the working trip, the delegation also visited and learned about some typical economic development models in Tam Dao commune (Phu Tho province).

Through training programs and experience exchange, poverty reduction officials in Son Vi commune have improved their capacity and gained access to effective economic models. This allows them to research and select appropriate development directions to apply to local practices, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Son Vi commune in 2025 and subsequent years.
