Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has directed the Department of Tourism to closely coordinate with relevant agencies and units to synchronously deploy many solutions. In particular, the Department of Tourism is required to strengthen the management of tourist destinations, regularly monitor and grasp the situation to promptly handle problems arising in the process of welcoming international visitors.
Besides, it is necessary to improve the quality of tourism environment in the area, especially in key tourist areas.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requested the Department of Tourism to closely coordinate with relevant agencies and units to promote propaganda and education on civilized tourism in the community. Thereby, it is necessary to ensure security, order, social safety, environmental sanitation and food safety at tourist attractions.
In addition, the authorities have increased inspection and control of service quality and tourism business conditions in the area, in order to promptly detect and strictly handle all violations of the law in the tourism sector, such as: price gouging, defrauding tourists, commercial fraud, illegal tour guide activities, etc.
To improve the effectiveness of welcoming international tourists, the Department of Tourism and related units are also required to build and complete channels to receive feedback from tourists (hotlines, tourist support centers, smart tourism applications, etc.) to promptly receive and resolve tourists' feedback and recommendations; support management work and ensure safety for tourists.
