Phan Thiet City: Nearly 1,500 young people of military age register for military service

BTO - Implementing the Law on Military Service in 2015, the Phan Thiet City Military Command has coordinated with wards and communes to promote the registration of nearly 1,500 young people of military age in 15 wards and communes in the city until the end of April.

Accordingly, young people of registration age who are currently living, working, and studying at training facilities in the city will be examined to measure their height and weight, and fill out their personal history, creating a source for military recruitment. Through the military service registration, qualified young people will be selected for health examinations at the end of this year, and actively recruit soldiers early next year.

It is known that in 2024, Phan Thiet city had 202 outstanding young people leave for the task of building and defending the Fatherland (161 citizens performing military service, 41 citizens performing People's Public Security service), reaching the target of 100%. The city has completed military recruitment for many years; in which, the Phan Thiet City Military Command has coordinated with the authorities and organizations of wards and communes to proactively register, examine and recruit, actively propagate and mobilize families and young people of recruitment age to enthusiastically participate in military service, demonstrating the spirit and duty of youth to protect the Fatherland.
