The decision to dissolve the Department of Construction Inspectorate was issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee based on the Central Government's policy and the Ministry of Construction 's guidance on the functions and tasks of units in the construction sector.
According to the decision, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction will receive all the offices, assets and facilities of the Department of Construction Inspectorate. Personnel of this agency will be reviewed and assigned to suitable positions in the department's specialized departments or specialized inspection departments.

At the same time, the Department of Construction will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police to revoke the seal of the Department of Construction Inspectorate according to regulations. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs will support the Department of Construction in implementing the plan to reorganize the organization, determine job positions and staffing after the model conversion.
Previously, from July 1, the construction inspection force of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau was merged and reorganized into a specialized Inspection Department with more than 900 staff and 30 working teams.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Construction Inspectorate used to be the specialized force responsible for controlling construction order, inspecting construction works, detecting and handling violations, and coordinating with authorities at all levels to enforce construction regulations.
