Invested in construction in 2015 and put into operation in 2016 with capital from the National Target Program on Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation and World Bank loans, Dai Lai Clean Water Station has a designed capacity of 8,500 m³/day and night, providing domestic water for 30 villages in Dai Lai, Cao Duc, Nhan Thang and Gia Binh communes.

Raw water from the Duong River is treated through 5 closed stages: Controlling pH and turbidity of the input water; adding chemicals to adjust pH, coagulants and coagulants; leading to the Lamella sedimentation and filtration system; gravity filtration to remove remaining residue. Finally, disinfecting with Chlorine and Javel before being put into the tank and distributed to the people.
Mr. Nguyen The Kien, Head of Dai Lai Clean Water Station, said: Every month, the station's water samples are tested for 8 group B indicators at the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation; every 6 months, 54 indicators are analyzed at the Provincial Center for Disease Control. All indicators meet QCVN 01: 2018/BYT standards.
After nearly 10 years of operation, 13,400 households, reaching 80% of households in 30 villages of 4 communes: Dai Lai, Cao Duc, Nhan Thang, Gia Binh have registered to install and use water supplied by the plant. In addition to households, 100% of agencies, units, schools and medical stations in the 4 communes have registered to use clean water from the Station. Nhan Thang Kindergarten with 510 students and more than 70 staff and teachers, all boarding cooking, hygiene and daily activities use water supplied by the Station. Ms. Vu Thi Ngan, Principal of the school said: "Using clean water helps ensure safety for sanitary equipment and cooking utensils".
Currently, the station is operating at 75-80% of its designed capacity; the rate of household use still has room to increase. In the coming time, Dai Lai Clean Water Station will coordinate with the commune authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to switch to using clean water to protect public health, improve the quality of life and use water resources sustainably.
