Presenting 100 gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in Ba Chuc town

On the afternoon of May 7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton district coordinated with the volunteer group Nhu Ngoc to organize gift giving to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in Ba Chuc town. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Bui Van Tang attended.

There were 100 gifts given, each worth 400,000 VND, including necessities and 200,000 VND in cash. The total cost of the gift giving was 40 million VND, supported by nun Thich Nu Nhu Nhu (abbot of Phap Hoa Pagoda) and nun Nhu Huyen (Quan Am Pagoda).

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Bui Van Tang emphasized that the program not only brings material value but also demonstrates the spirit of humanity and responsibility of the community towards those in difficult circumstances. At the same time, he expressed his appreciation for the contributions of individuals and organizations that have joined hands with the locality to support poor households, helping them have more motivation to improve their lives.

Ba Chuc Town currently has 69 poor households and 374 near-poor households. In the coming time, the locality will continue to mobilize resources and organize many meaningful activities; calling on businesses and philanthropists to join hands and contribute to bring joy and warmth to people in difficult circumstances, contributing to building a close-knit and compassionate community.
