The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has been operating for 26 years, awarding more than 130,000 scholarships to ethnic minority students across the country. The “For Beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa” Club has so far awarded more than 3,000 scholarships to children of fishermen, officers and soldiers of the armed forces who are working day and night at sea to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland. In Quang Ngai, many generations of students have been supported by the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the “For Beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa” Club to excel in their studies and grow up.
Speaking at the program, Former Vice President, Chairman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Head of the Club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Truong My Hoa shared the difficulties of ethnic minority students, students in remote areas, children of fishermen and forces on duty to protect the sovereignty of sea and islands in Quang Ngai. She hoped that the students would make efforts to study and practice so that they can contribute to building their homeland and country in the future. The goal of the Fund is not only to provide material support but also to foster young, knowledgeable human resources who are responsible to the community, especially in difficult areas.
At the program, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Club “For beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa” has awarded 115 scholarships worth 115 million VND to primary, secondary and high school students with difficult circumstances who have strived to study well and children of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard in the districts of Son Ha, Tra Bong, Ba To, Ly Son, Binh Son, Mo Duc and Duc Pho town.
