(PLVN) - Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri handed over the decision to appoint Chief Justices at the provincial and municipal levels after the merger, ensuring the apparatus operates from July 1.

On June 26, at the Supreme People's Court, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri presided over the ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to appoint Chief Justices of the People's Courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai and many provinces and cities after the merger. The ceremony took place at the Supreme People's Court and was connected online to the bridge points at the People's Courts of localities across the country.

At the ceremony, Chief Justice Le Minh Tri presented the decision to appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Thanh - Chief Justice of Binh Duong Provincial People's Court to hold the position of Chief Justice of Dong Nai Provincial People's Court; Mr. Le Thanh Phong to continue holding the position of Chief Justice of Ho Chi Minh City People's Court; Mr. Le Quoc Dung - Chief Justice of Long An Provincial People's Court was appointed as Chief Justice of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Court. The decisions take effect from July 1, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri presented the decision to appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Thanh as Chief Justice of Dong Nai Provincial People's Court after the merger.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri requested the Deputy Chief Justices of the Supreme People's Court to urgently review all work and areas assigned to them, and direct their subordinate units to completely resolve pending cases and cases before June 30, 2025. At the same time, he emphasized that there should be no unfinished work, unclear authority or omission, and that a plan must be made to hand over work in progress to ensure continuity and efficiency. In addition, it is necessary to effectively manage and use assets and facilities to avoid loss and waste.

Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri handed over the decision to appoint 3 Chief Justices of the Court of Appeal and 26 new Chief Justices of the Provincial People's Court after the merger.

For the heads of units and Chief Justices of People's Courts at all levels after the merger, Mr. Le Minh Tri requested that the organization must operate smoothly from July 1, 2025. The handover of case files, unfinished investment projects, assets, headquarters, working facilities, and databases must be carried out fully, in accordance with legal regulations, under the direction of competent authorities. At the same time, it is necessary to urgently review and arrange headquarters, equipment, working facilities and other necessary conditions to ensure stable and effective operations.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court also requested all officials, judges, civil servants, public employees and workers in the People's Court system to continue to maintain working style and discipline, promote a sense of responsibility, and contribute to building an increasingly disciplined, professional and honest sector.
