Hanoi: Joint venture of 3 contractors won the electronic ticket inter-transportation package worth over 533 billion VND

According to information from the National Bidding Network, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center has just approved the winning bid for Package No. 3 to hire information technology services to deploy an interconnected electronic ticket system for public transport in Hanoi for a consortium of 3 contractors. The bid package has a winning bid price of over 533 billion VND.

The consortium of 3 contractors approved by the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center to win the bid includes: NGS Equipment and Communications Joint Stock Company - MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation - Smart Network Service Trading Joint Stock Company. The winning bid price is 533.227 billion VND, the implementation period is 67 months.

Previously, on September 12, 2025, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center issued a notice inviting bids for Package No. 3 to hire information technology services to deploy an interoperable electronic ticket system for public transport in Hanoi. The package is worth 535,878 billion VND, using the Hanoi City budget, and is widely bid online. The bid will be closed and opened on October 3, 2025.

During the bidding process, two contractors submitted bid documents to participate in the bidding for the above package, including: Joint venture of MK Group Joint Stock Company - Thang Long Software Joint Stock Company - Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification; Joint venture of NGS Equipment and Communications Joint Stock Company - MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation - Smart Network Service Trading Joint Stock Company.

However, because the consortium of MK Group Joint Stock Company - Thang Long Software Joint Stock Company - Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification did not meet the technical requirements, it was subsequently eliminated.

Okay It is known that after the winning bid results, the Investor and the winning contractor consortium are preparing procedures to negotiate and sign contracts to implement the project.

It is expected that in the near future, Hanoi will launch an electronic ticket system for public transport in the area, initially applying to buses, then expanding to urban railways to best serve the public transport needs of the people.
