On the morning of September 30, at Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Dai Viet Saigon College (Ministry of Labor - Invalids - Social Affairs) held the Opening Ceremony, awarded graduation certificates for the 2023 - 2024 school year and awarded scholarships to students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study at the school.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Lam, Principal of Dai Viet Saigon College, emphasized: Developing vocational education is the top priority in human resource development to take advantage of the golden population opportunity, forming a direct human resource with high quality, efficiency and vocational skills, serving socio -economic development. Accordingly, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school is determined to perfect the management apparatus, strengthen the team of lecturers with professional qualifications, always updating professional and modern management and teaching methods; develop the scale of schools, facilities and training equipment, promote cooperation with businesses to gradually improve the quality of training and better care for students. Strengthen the application of digital transformation in school operations, training and management, and student care. Fully prepare and strengthen conditions to ensure quality and register for vocational education quality assessment of schools to meet national and international standards in vocational education.

At the same time, continue to invest in research and develop training programs for new professions to meet the digital industrial revolution era and continue to innovate, update and supplement training programs for professions in the direction of standardizing competencies and working skills. Linking with the human resource needs of society in the direction of multi-profession, diversifying the types, methods and training times.

Emphasizing the training task of contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, Dr. Le Lam said that the school will continue to provide vocational education closely following the needs of the labor market associated with satisfactory employment, social security and sustainable, inclusive development; maximizing the capacity and qualities of learners; promoting start-ups and innovation.

“In addition to the scholarship policy for excellent students and students with difficulties, the school and partner companies, and donors continue to build the “Dai Viet Student Credit Fund” with the current capital increased to 15 billion VND. The fund will always accompany and give wings to students with difficult circumstances to promptly support them with study loans during their time at school, not allowing any student to stop studying because of not having money to pay tuition fees.” - Dr. Le Lam emphasized.

In addition, to create more opportunities for students to demonstrate their abilities and earn high income after graduation, the school continues to support, solve and introduce jobs for students from year 2 and after graduation, enhance the reputation and quality of training in bringing students to early career access, through coordination with more than 200 companies and businesses in all fields and professions that the school has training such as Automobile manufacturing companies, Banks, Hospitals, Schools and many other production, business and service establishments.

At the ceremony, Dai Viet Sai Gon College awarded diplomas to 739 full-time college students, 2nd degree college students and transfer students. Among them, 1 valedictorian, 51 excellent graduates, 172 excellent graduates from 6 faculties: Medicine and Pharmacy, Pedagogy, Automotive Technology, Foreign Languages, Economics, and Engineering Technology were honored and rewarded.

In particular, 96 scholarships worth 192,000,000 were awarded. for 96 students with difficult circumstances who are studying at the School through sponsorship from businesses that are the School's cooperative partners.

Previously, to support students in their initial enrollment, the School awarded scholarships to new students of the 2023 class with a total scholarship value of nearly 1.6 billion VND.

Established in 2000, after 23 years of construction and development, with the efforts of the Board of Directors, staff, lecturers and employees, Dai Viet Saigon College has continuously improved the quality of training, care and service for students. The school currently trains 32 majors in the fields of Medicine, Pedagogy, Foreign Languages, Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, Economics, Tourism,... with a scale of more than 3,000 students. Up to now, the school has gradually affirmed its position and effectiveness in training and fostering human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the country and Ho Chi Minh City.
