Over 1,200 students enrolled at Lao Cai College

On September 9, Lao Cai College organized the reception and admission of over 1,200 college students.

Among the more than 1,200 enrolled students, over 70% are ethnic minority students from Lao Cai province as well as some neighboring provinces.

At the admission ceremony, students are advised and guided by staff, teachers and volunteers to complete their application; accommodation is arranged for students who register for dormitories, and the address of safe and secure accommodation is introduced to students who need to stay off-campus. Students are also provided with cars to travel from the main campus to each facility to ensure safety.

Students are supported by the school's union members for transportation.

According to the plan, in the 2025-2026 school year, Lao Cai College will welcome about 2,000 students to register for college and intermediate vocational training. Previously, in mid-August, the school welcomed and processed admission procedures for nearly 500 students to register for intermediate vocational training.

Currently, Lao Cai College is training 24 college-level majors and 27 intermediate-level majors. Along with improving quality and expanding training majors to meet the demand for qualified workers, Lao Cai College has been focusing on expanding links and cooperation with businesses inside and outside the province, creating job opportunities for students right after graduation. Along with maintaining cooperation and training links with dozens of vocational schools and businesses nationwide; the school is promoting international cooperation with organizations and vocational schools in Korea, China, the US, Australia, etc.

Students are instructed in safe dormitory rules.

Lao Cai College is one of 70 vocational schools approved by the Prime Minister and selected for investment to become a high-quality school in the period 2020 - 2025. Up to this point, the school is completing the documents to send to the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) for recognition according to the prescribed criteria.
