Folk knowledge of exploiting and processing agarwood and bird's nest festival are national intangible cultural heritages.

On June 3, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a decision to announce the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Accordingly, the folk knowledge of exploiting and processing agarwood in Khanh Hoa was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The knowledge of exploiting and processing agarwood in Khanh Hoa is implemented in 8 localities, including: Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh City, Ninh Hoa Town, Van Ninh, Dien Khanh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, and Cam Lam districts.

Previously, on June 2, the Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Festival was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The traditional festival of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest is mainly held in Nha Trang City; in addition, it is also held in the following localities: Cam Ranh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Cam Lam, Van Ninh.

Khanh Hoa has long been known as “Land of Agarwood, Sea of ​​Bird’s Nest” to express the value, quality, and popularity of these two rare specialties in Khanh Hoa province. Khanh Hoa Agarwood is a product that is considered to be of high quality with many benefits for human health, as well as significance in spiritual life. Currently, in Khanh Hoa, there are still many families and artisans who exploit and process Agarwood; thereby creating many diverse products with high economic value made from Agarwood.

Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Festival is a part of the knowledge of exploiting and processing salanganes nests that has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the end of 2024. The Salanganes Nest Festival takes place on the 10th day of the 5th lunar month every year, an occasion for islanders to hold worship ceremonies to show gratitude and commemorate the great merits of the founder, the Holy Mother of the salanganes nest profession, Admiral Le Van Dat and the daughter of the Holy Mother Island Owner Le Thi Huyen Tram, along with the predecessors who discovered the salanganes nest islands and developed the profession of exploiting and processing salanganes nests in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
