Deploying tasks to ensure security and safety during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025

Colonel Do Van Dong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Border Guard, launched an emulation movement in performing tasks at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.

Accordingly, during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025, the city's Border Guard will mobilize 6 ships, 20 boats and canoes along with more than 300 officers and soldiers to reasonably arrange routes on the Han River, proactively and effectively handle any unexpected situations that may arise, ensure absolute safety of people, weapons, equipment, vehicles and participate in search and rescue.

As the unit assigned by the People's Committee of Da Nang City to protect the water surface area and security, order and safety on the Han River before, during and after the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025, the city's Border Guard will proactively deploy plans to coordinate and cooperate with security forces for this major event.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Tran Cong Thanh noted that to ensure security, order and safety during the festival, the officers and soldiers of the city's Border Guard determined to ensure absolute safety for activities in the assigned areas; be ready to mobilize forces and vehicles to handle unexpected situations that may arise; participate in search and rescue; promptly prevent people and vehicles from disturbing security and order in the assigned areas.

Have a plan to control and coordinate tourist boats operating on the Han River and at the anchorage area; deploy forces and means to block fishing boats and other watercraft from entering the water surface of the fireworks display area; ensure security and safety of the grandstand area on the opening night. Coordinate with the 115 Emergency Center to arrange medical staff on boats and boats blocking the river to be ready to provide first aid when required.

Preside over and coordinate with the City Police, Water Corps I, C08/ Ministry of Public Security to survey and develop a plan for traffic diversion and create safe zones; organize inspections and strictly control the activities of tourist boats on the Han River to prevent the situation of carrying more people than the prescribed number and not ensuring equipment.

In addition, the unit assigned forces to guard both ends of Thuan Phuoc Bridge and Dragon Bridge, ensuring the safety of tourists and vehicles visiting on the Han River. At the same time, it deployed forces to coordinate with police and military forces to ensure security and order on Bach Dang, Tran Hung Dao, Nhu Nguyet streets, Han River Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge, etc.

According to Colonel Tran Cong Thanh, the plan to protect this year's fireworks festival was strictly implemented by the Da Nang City Border Guard, anticipating possible situations, assigning forces and handling measures in each specific case, to avoid complications that could affect the competition.

In addition, the city Border Guard has equipped and installed on the ship a large capacity pump to support the force on fire prevention and fighting duty and coordinated with the 115 Emergency Center to organize an emergency unit including Border Guard medical staff and doctors ready to perform emergency duties for people and tourists when situations arise, so that people and tourists can enjoy beautiful and safe fireworks displays throughout the festival.
