Deploying the organization of the Online Competition on Excellent Grassroots Trade Union Professionalism in 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 26, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation (CLF) held the 6th Conference of the 15th term, 2023 - 2028.
At the Conference, delegates listened to the Leadership Results Reports of the Standing Committee between the two sessions of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, and discussed and approved the Plan to organize the Online Competition on Excellent Grassroots Trade Union Professionalism in 2024; Plan to organize gift giving to businesses for workers on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13; Report on evaluating the production and broadcasting of the column "With workers", along with a number of other important contents...
Accordingly, the 2024 Online Competition on Excellent Grassroots Trade Union Practice will be held online on a digital technology platform through the application tool "Huong Cong - Hai Phong Trade Union" for 4 weeks (from September 23 to October 20), with the award ceremony expected to take place in November 2024. The competition content will be on the regulations and instructions for implementing the Vietnam Trade Union Regulations; legal policies and guidelines related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers... The total prize value is up to 136 million VND.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day, October 13, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation visited and congratulated employers who have implemented policies for employees well. In particular, they gave gifts and congratulated enterprises that have established a grassroots trade union with 100 or more union members; enterprises that have implemented policies for employees well, negotiated, signed and effectively implemented collective labor agreements classified as B or higher, have no unpaid wages or social insurance; have no strikes or work stoppages; have not had fatal work accidents... It is expected that the total number of gifts will be 500, each gift worth a maximum of 2,000,000 VND.
Piloting the Hai Phong Trade Union Communication Program with photo reports in the column "With workers", through 6 issues, the program has reflected more than 50 short news with images about typical activities of trade unions at all levels; 6 topics according to monthly focus or live recording of outstanding events in actual trade union activities, attracting a number of union members, workers and civil servants to follow and share.
