With the theme "Interaction", the exhibition organized by Ikenobo Vietnam Headquarters officially opened, introducing nearly 40 works in three typical flower arrangement styles of Ikenobo Ikebana School: Rikka, Shoka and Jiyūka (freedom).
The event was attended by delegates from the following units: Japan Foundation, Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, Vietnam Women's Museum... along with a large number of guests and art lovers, creating a solemn yet warm atmosphere, opening two days of emotional exhibition.
In particular, this year's exhibition features the participation of Professor Furukawa Koji from the headquarters of Ikebana Ikenobo School in Kyoto, Japan.

The works on display at the exhibition clearly demonstrate the depth of philosophy and the diversity of expression in Ikebana art. With Rikka and Shoka arrangements, viewers encounter order, proportion and carefully calculated composition to depict the law of yin and yang, expressing the balance between elements in nature.
Rikka's works open up a multi-layered space evoking the order of the great nature from high mountains, cliffs, rivers, plains, villages... while Shoka's works aim for simplicity, highlighting the intrinsic beauty and growth characteristics of plants, flowers and leaves.

Meanwhile, the works in Jiyūka (free) arrangement expand the creative range, allowing for the combination of many new materials, variations in the combination of shapes and colors to reflect the aesthetics of contemporary life. The contrast and complementarity between the three arrangement styles create an overall exhibition that both honors traditional values and conveys the aesthetics of the times.
The theme "Interaction" opens an invitation for the public to stop and listen to the voice inside each soul.
The exhibition not only shows the beauty of flowers and leaves, but also shows the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, between past and present, between stillness and movement...

In the exhibition space, Ikebana practitioners use the language of lines, colors of flowers and leaves, and even empty spaces to express the beauty of nature and inner communication. This message is expressed throughout the minimalist yet intentional compositions, clarifying the power of Ikebana's wordless expression.
Sharing about the theme of this year's exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tu - President of Ikenobo Vietnam Headquarters - said: "Interaction" opens up the sense of deep connection between humans and nature, while honoring the humanistic value of Ikebana art: respecting the vitality in each flower, cultivating knowledge about the growth cycle of plants and opening up the ability to connect the human soul with nature.

The representative of the Headquarters also emphasized that the exhibition is for those who understand flower arrangement, and is also aimed at the general public: those who seek quiet moments amidst the hustle and bustle of life, those who love beauty, culture and art.
Ikenobo Vietnam Headquarters - Ikenobo Vietnam Central Study Group - the exhibition organizer, was established in 2021. It is the official study group of Ikebana Ikenobo Japan in Vietnam, headquartered at Ikebana House, Hanoi. The headquarters regularly conducts teaching activities and organizes Ikebana exhibitions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to bringing Japanese flower art closer to the Vietnamese public.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the exhibition officially opened to visitors. The exhibition space quickly became a meeting place for lovers of flowers, Japanese art and culture.
Many visitors stop for a long time in front of each work, listening to the story behind each flower branch, and then receive calm, peaceful emotions as if they have temporarily left the hustle and bustle of life to immerse themselves in a world of subtle and profound aesthetics.

The exhibition not only contributes to honoring the artistic value of Ikebana but also contributes to promoting Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange, expanding opportunities for professional exchange and spreading the beauty of flower arrangement to the public. Ikenobo Vietnam Headquarters continues to affirm its role in the journey of bringing Ikebana closer to the country's artistic life.
The exhibition is open to the public from 9am to 5pm on October 11 and 12 at Gallery C, 1st floor, Vietnam Women's Museum (36 Ly Thuong Kiet, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi) welcoming the public to enjoy and listen to stories about nature, art and personal emotions in a quiet and sympathetic space.
