In 10 years, more than 500 Vietnamese students received scholarships from the Australian Government.

Fourteen Vietnamese students are set to begin their Masters studies at Australian universities under the Australia Awards Scholarships program.

Recently, Ms. Naomi Cook, Development Counselor at the Australian Embassy in Vietnam shared: "For many decades, Australia and Vietnam have shared a belief in the transformative power of education . The Australian Government scholarships represent a shared vision of opening up learning opportunities, promoting meaningful knowledge exchange and creating lasting friendships."

Over the past 10 years, 514 Vietnamese students have received Australian Government scholarships through the Aus4Skills Program - Australia's pioneering human resource development program in Vietnam - and joined the Australian alumni network in Vietnam with more than 7,500 members to work together to bring about change across the country.

This dynamic community is making an impact across government agencies, community organizations, academic research, and businesses. Their leadership and expertise are helping Vietnam meet challenges and seize opportunities for sustainable development.

Many alumni have contributed to strengthening gender equality policies, improving training in the public sector, pioneering digital transformation and inclusive education.

"I am very excited to advance my career and education through the course in Australia. I hope to learn from international best practices in designing financial policies and supporting businesses to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises, promote innovation and strengthen the foundation for sustainable economic growth," said Ha Quynh Nga, one of the students preparing to study for a Master of Public Policy at Monash University.

Australian Government scholarships open up study opportunities for Vietnamese students.

Australia remains committed to supporting Vietnam’s development priorities. Scholarships will continue to be provided through the Australia Awards Scholarships program, along with the Mekong-Australia Partnership scholarships. This ensures that Vietnam’s emerging leaders continue to have access to world-class education and work together to address regional challenges.
