Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Dang Khoa sent congratulations to 87 typical examples of the title "Ho Chi Minh City 3-Training Students" in the 2024-2025 school year.

Mr. Khoa said that after many years of implementation, the movement "Students practice 3" has spread more and more, becoming a goal to strive for, a motivation to encourage union members and students of intermediate level in vocational education institutions to strive to practice and contribute. There have been many typical examples that have been commended at all levels, achieved titles for many consecutive years, becoming shining examples in the emulation movement of Ho Chi Minh City youth.

In particular, there are 2 excellent students who were twice consecutively recognized with the title "3-Trained Students" of Ho Chi Minh City.

“The students were recognized as outstanding individuals in studying, practicing their skills, and actively participating in the Youth Union movement at school. And the journey of striving and practicing is also a profound proof of maturity, self-attraction and the spreading value that the movement brings,” said Mr. Khoa.

Mr. Khoa hopes that the role models will continue to try, make efforts, constantly study, improve their skills, actively participate in movement activities to improve themselves, meet the increasing demands of the labor market, especially the expectation of a young, skilled workforce with an industrial style, "both red and professional".

Before that, students offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ton Duc Thang.

On this occasion, WESET English Center Company Limited awarded 87 scholarships with a total value of more than 16 million VND to typical examples.

Bach Van Trung, member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Technology, was the “Ho Chi Minh City 3-Training Student” for two consecutive years. The decision to study vocational training right after completing junior high school caused him to face many prejudices, but Trung still steadfastly pursued the chosen path and tried his best in the field of information technology.

After completing the intermediate program, Trung plans to continue studying both general education and vocational training, then strive to transfer to university.

Passionate about the green shirt, Trung always knows how to balance between Union activities and studying. He also applies his knowledge of information technology to support the construction of a two-level government in Binh Tien ward (HCMC), helping people access and process data more conveniently.

“Try your best! On your path, dare to think and dare to do so that your family, friends and yourself always feel valued and proud of what you have achieved,” Trung said.

His father passed away at a young age, leaving the burden of making a living on his older sister's shoulders. Dang Duy Phuc (Thu Duc College of Economics and Technology) once thought his educational path was over.

At the end of 9th grade, when his friends were focusing on studying for the 10th grade entrance exam, Phuc had to leave school early to work as a construction worker. Seeing this, his uncle told Phuc that he was the only breadwinner and if he continued with this hard work, he would not be able to take care of his mother and family in the future. He decided to support him to continue his studies.

“The trust from my mother, uncle and sister, along with the care from teachers and friends, is the greatest motivation. When I stumble, I have to try to stand up to make my dream come true,” Phuc said emotionally.

The day he entered the school gate, Phuc thought it was a dream because before that, he did not think he would have the opportunity to go to school anymore. Because he had been out of school for a long time, his knowledge was not solid, but Phuc always received enthusiastic help from teachers and friends. He also received scholarship support, which became the motivation for him to continue to strive to improve.

“Every path we take, we are the ones who decide. It’s okay to go slowly, as long as you don’t stop. Let’s strive for the dreams that lie ahead,” Phuc said.
