At the end of the trading session, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor on September 13, 2024 at 5:30 a.m. increased by 4,485 - 5,077 tons. Specifically, the delivery period for November 2024 is 5,077 USD/ton, an increase of 69 USD/ton); the delivery period for January 2025 is 4,816 USD/ton (an increase of 47 USD/ton); the delivery period for March 2025 is 4,610 USD/ton (an increase of 41 USD/ton) and the delivery period for May 2025 is 4,485 USD/ton (an increase of 55 USD/ton).

Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor on the morning of September 13, 2024 were dominated by green, with an increase of 2.30 - 2.75 cents/lb. Specifically, the December 2024 delivery period was 249.40 cents/lb, up 1.11%; the March 2025 delivery period was 247.00 cents/lb (up 1.04%); the May 2025 delivery period was 244.60 cents/lb (up 1.01%) and the July 2025 delivery period was 241.75, up 0.96%.

The price of Brazilian Arabica coffee on the morning of September 13, 2024 increased and decreased in different directions. Specifically, the delivery period for September 2024 was 303.65 USD/ton, up 1.12%; the delivery period for December 2024 was 299.90 USD/ton (down 0.08%); the delivery period for March 2025 was 301.50 USD/ton, up 0.77% and the delivery period for May 2025 was 299.35 USD/ton, up 1.10%.

Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day), Vietnam time.

Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US (New York floor) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day), Vietnam time.

For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will be open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day), Vietnam time.

Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:30 a.m. on September 13, 2024 as follows: Today's domestic coffee market increased by 1,000 - 1,200 VND/kg, ranging from 121,300 - 121,500. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 121,300 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces is 120,500 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) is 121,300 VND, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, in Pleiku and La Grai the price is 121,200 VND/kg. In Kon Tum province, the price is 121,300 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at 121,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 121,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices today (September 13) in Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee was purchased at about 121,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it was purchased at 121,400 VND/kg.

Robusta coffee prices remained on an upward trend for the fourth consecutive day due to tight supplies in Vietnam, the world's largest producer and exporter of Robusta coffee.

The latest data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs shows that Vietnam's coffee exports in August reached 76,214 tons, worth 402.2 million USD, down 1% in volume and up 5.5% in value compared to the previous month, and down 9.9% in volume but up 55.8% in value compared to the same period last year.

Thus, Vietnam's coffee export volume has decreased for 7 consecutive months since the beginning of the year. This shows that Vietnam's coffee inventory has been exhausted and the supply can only improve when the new harvest begins in the next 1 to 2 months.

In the first 8 months of this year, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 1.05 million tons, worth more than 4 billion USD, down 12.1% in volume and up 35.6% in value over the same period last year.

As for Arabica coffee, Brazil's coffee harvest is now almost complete, with weather reports from Brazil indicating hot and dry conditions expected to last until the end of September.

As a result, soil moisture remains low ahead of the expected rains later this month. Forecasters say more heavy rains will hit some areas in the coffee belt in October.

Seasonal rains that typically arrive in the Brazilian coffee belt around October each year are essential to encourage flowering and sustaining fruit development before the next harvest. Arabica coffee has a growing period of about 10 months before harvest in mid-2025.
