In recent days, the contractor has brought in equipment and vehicles to salvage the barge.

The area where the barge was buried under the sand has been cordoned off and swimming is prohibited to ensure the safety of residents and tourists.

The barge salvage plan will be carried out in the following steps: Determine the location of the sunken barge to develop a plan; use a sand suction machine around the barge; use equipment to cut metal to create holes for cable hooks; excavator to open the shore to create a trench the size of the barge; use excavator, crane and specialized equipment to divide the barge into smaller pieces and bring it ashore; restore the site and clean up the scene; estimated completion time is 15-20 days.
