In recent days, the contractor has brought in equipment and vehicles to salvage the barge.

The above barge with registration number KH 98668 TS ran aground and was completely buried under the sand since 2019. When the tide rises and falls and is affected by waves, sharp iron sections of the barge's structure emerge from the sand, posing a potential risk of injury to tourists and people swimming in the sea.
