Pressure is mounting on the development team, with more than 248 million Pi tokens expected to be unlocked next month, raising concerns about a wave of selling.

Pi Network's latest update regarding the ".pi" domain auction is facing criticism from the user community. Although the Pi Core development team has just launched a new application that supports bid tracking and email alerts, many believe that this is a small step forward and does not bring the expected value, especially when Pi2Day 2025 is approaching.
The Pi Network pioneer community had hoped for a groundbreaking announcement that would boost the true value of the Pi token. However, instead of creating excitement, this update has disappointed many because it does not meet the actual needs of users.
The lack of breakthrough updates has also reduced confidence in the future of Pi Network. Some opinions expressed concerns that the value of Pi tokens will continue to plummet if the project does not have clearer moves in the near future.
Since the auction began three months ago, about 3 million Pi tokens, worth $1.8 million, have been used to buy domain names. However, this is still a small amount compared to the daily Pi transaction volume, which is currently over $100 million.
Pi is currently trading around $0.60, down 35% in just one week and 60% in value over the past month. This shows that the new update has not created clear growth momentum for the project.
