“Sinking in the vortex” – a work by Nghe An Traditional Arts Center – made a strong impression at the Festival because of its tight staging and profound thoughts. The play directly reflects the problem of corruption and degradation among a group of officials, exposing the “money-power” vortex that is eroding human dignity. The quiet moments of the play make the audience face the naked truth about greed, while at the same time arousing faith in the aspiration for goodness – the flame of humanity that still smolders in every person amidst the hustle and bustle of life today.
