Danang University of Technology celebrates 50th anniversary

On the morning of July 5, in Da Nang, the University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University solemnly held the 50th Anniversary Celebration (July 11, 1975 - July 11, 2025).

Attending the event were comrades: Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ha Ban, former member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission; Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister ofEducation and Training; Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Also attending were leaders of central and local agencies; international guests, leaders of partner universities and colleges, leaders of partner enterprises; leaders of Danang University and its member universities, affiliated training units; and generations of lecturers, officials, employees, researchers, trainees, and students who have worked and are studying at Danang University of Technology.

In his commemorative speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of Danang University of Technology, said that over the past 50 years, the school has developed into a key technical university in the central region and the whole country, with 14 faculties, 9 functional units, 11 research and training centers; 16 doctoral majors, 18 master's majors, 41 university majors/specializations, with a scale of nearly 18,000 students.

The percentage of lecturers teaching theory with a doctorate is 74.4%, among the schools with the highest percentage of doctorates in the country. The percentage of students having jobs after graduation is over 97%, affirming that the training quality is among the top in the country.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu stated that in the past 5 years, the University of Science and Technology - Danang University has affirmed its pioneering position and national responsibility in training high-quality human resources, meeting the development requirements of the country; opening 11 new university training programs in advanced fields, 1 master's training program (Industrial Management) and 1 doctoral training program (Construction Management).

The education quality assessment work has achieved many impressive achievements such as: The school meets HCERES standards (cycle 2); 26 university training programs meet international standards (CTI: 3; ASIIN: 11; AUN-QA: 12); 4 master's training programs are accredited by ASIIN.

Danang University of Technology has established relationships with more than 100 universities, research institutes, and international organizations; implemented many joint training programs with partners such as the United States, France, and Japan.

The school also actively participates in Erasmus+, DAAD, JICA, AUF projects... with hundreds of exchanges of scholars, students, and lecturers each year.

Regarding business relations, the school cooperates extensively with many large corporations such as: Fujikin, LG, ABB, Mitsubishi, EVN, Viettel, Thaco... Through joint training programs, internships, Capstone Projects, students have had the opportunity to access practice and improve their capacity.
