Foreign Trade University won the 2024 International Law Moot Court Competition

Winiarski team from Foreign Trade University became the champion of the 2024 National Foreign Direct Investment International Law Moot Competition (FDI Moot 2024) organized by the Vietnam Society of International Law and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

The final round took place on the evening of September 29 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

Winiarski team from Foreign Trade University will represent Vietnam in the international competition held in Germany this November.

The runner-up of the competition was Crawford team - Diplomatic Academy. The third prize of the competition belonged to Skubiszewski team - Diplomatic Academy and Basdevant team - Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

The FDI Moot is a competition specializing in courtroom speaking in the field of international investment arbitration.

The competition's moot court sessions help students gain a practical understanding of the field of investment arbitration, while practicing essential skills such as critical thinking and litigation in English.

In the final round, after successfully surpassing other teams, the two teams Crawford - Diplomatic Academy and Winiarski - Foreign Trade University, in the roles of plaintiff and defendant respectively, demonstrated their views and debating skills before the arbitration panel and their ability to argue against the opposing team with in-depth legal knowledge.
