Launching the Quang Tri Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025

This morning, April 9th, at Ham Nghi Primary School in Dong Ha City, the Organizing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest held the launching ceremony for the 2025 Quang Tri Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.

Over the years, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest. This is a way to promote the value of books and reading culture to everyone, especially the younger generation, in order to build a reading movement in the community. The contest has yielded positive results and received attention and support from the whole society.

This competition holds immense cultural value, fostering intellectual thinking and providing a valuable platform for students from elementary to high school throughout the province. The aim of the competition is to discover outstanding individuals who inspire, spread, and ignite a passion for reading among everyone, contributing to the dissemination of reading culture in the community.

Over six editions, the competition has attracted 72,672 entries from 852 schools, from primary to secondary level, across the province. Many schools have submitted meticulously prepared entries, featuring excellent book reviews and character analysis.

Particularly noteworthy are the creative works such as comic strips, plays, drawings, short stories, and video clips, which the students have invested in systematically in terms of content, images, rich and appropriate materials, and good presentation skills, with the aspiration to become ambassadors of reading culture. 299 works have won provincial-level awards; 30 works have won national-level awards.

2025 marks the 7th year the province has organized the Reading Culture Ambassador competition, with a larger scale and higher quality requirements. In addition to students from primary to high school, the competition also includes trainees and university students, requiring critical thinking, the ability to appreciate literary works, and the capacity to inspire the community towards a positive lifestyle, characterized by love and sharing.

To foster a sense of responsibility towards oneself, family, and society, and to cultivate love for one's homeland and country. Simultaneously, to develop initiatives and action plans to promote a reading culture for oneself and the community, especially for children in remote areas, ethnic minority children, and children with disabilities...

The competition is an opportunity for students to practice their writing, presentation, drawing, creative writing, idea generation, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

This is not just a competition, but also a mission to spread the noble values ​​of reading culture, a shared responsibility of the whole society to build a community that loves knowledge and lives with purpose and ideals.
