University of Law (VNU) ranked 351-400 on the QS 2025 table, recognized as meeting quality standards of higher education institutions

In the joyful atmosphere of the whole country towards November 20, the University of Law (Vietnam National University, Hanoi - VNU) was recently granted a certificate of meeting the quality standards of higher education institutions according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to current regulations of the Law on Higher Education , after 5 years from the date of establishment, a higher education institution must be recognized as meeting the quality standards of a higher education institution.

In 2022, the University of Law, VNU was established by the Prime Minister's decision on the basis of the Faculty of Law, VNU - a higher education institution with a half-century tradition of formation and development, with its predecessor being the Faculty of Law, Hanoi National University in 1976.

The announcement and decision-making ceremony was held under the witness of representatives of VNU, generations of leaders of the School from 1976 to present and a large number of cadres, civil servants and employees of the School. This is both an affirmation and strong commitment of the School to the quality of training, and at the same time an event to report and express gratitude to generations of leaders, teachers and employees of the School for their contributions and sacrifices over the past half century.

Also this year, the University of Law, VNU was ranked 351-400 by the prestigious international university ranking organization QS for the field of law. This is the first and only law training institution in Vietnam to date to be ranked at the international level and holds a very high ranking. This affirms the brand and reputation of the School with a tradition of half a century of formation and development.

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 ranked Vietnam National University, Hanoi in the 351–400 group in the world in the field of Law.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject is an annual subject-specific university ranking conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) of the UK. This ranking evaluates universities based on criteria such as academic reputation, reputation with employers, research effectiveness (citations and H-index), to help international students have more reference information when choosing the right major.
