Ho Chi Minh City Open University has just announced the admission threshold (floor score) for the admission method.
In which, the admission threshold is determined as follows: Total score of 3 subjects without coefficient and without bonus points, priority points (if any). The entrance threshold is determined equally between the groups.
In the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, the minimum score has been reduced sharply to 15 and 16 points. In 2024, the school's highest minimum score will be 22 points.

The entrance threshold and admission scores of the methods are implemented according to the conversion rule equivalent to the results of the high school graduation exam.
Converting V-SAT exam scores, National High School Graduation Exam scores, and transcript scores to high school graduation exam scores to determine the threshold to ensure input quality and admission scores.
- For V-SAT exam scores will be done by subject.
- The GPA will be determined based on the test.

- y: converted score is equivalent to high school exam score;
- x: V-SAT score, HCM City National University's entrance exam score, candidate's academic transcript score;
- a, b: boundary of V-SAT score range, GPA, academic transcript (a < x ≤ b);
- c, d: boundary of the corresponding high school graduation exam score range (c < y ≤ d).
- Conversion points are rounded to 2 decimal places.
