Hanoi Medical University appears for the first time in the global university rankings THE-WUR 2025

The 2025 THE-WUR 2025 GlobalUniversity Rankings, which was compiled from 2,092 higher education institutions from 115 countries and regions, sees 185 "new faces" added to the list this year.

THE rankings are trusted by students, scholars, higher education institutions, governments and academics. THE's global university rankings are based on criteria and scientific citation indexes, research publications, and survey questions of more than 93,000 scholars and experts worldwide...

Of the 10 Vietnamese universities listed in the THE-WUR 2025 global university rankings, only 9 Vietnamese universities are ranked, while Van Lang University appears in Reporter status.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (HCMC) has the highest ranking position in the 501-600 group of schools, Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University are ranked in the 601-800 group of schools.

Notably, two new Vietnamese universities appeared in THE's rankings this year: Hanoi Medical University (group 801-1,000) and Ho Chi Minh City Open University (group 1,201-1,500).

The remaining Vietnamese universities ranked include: Hanoi National University (group 1,201-1,500) and 3 schools in group 1,501+ including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hue University, Ho Chi Minh City National University.
