Brilliant achievements of the Vietnamese delegation at the International Science and Technology Competition

(Dan Tri) - The Vietnamese student delegation left a strong impression at the Regeneron ISEF 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair, which recently took place in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

The achievements of the Vietnamese student delegation this year are considered the highest in more than 10 years of participating in the competition. The delegation won 2 second prizes, 1 third prize, 3 fourth prizes and 4 special prizes awarded by the competition sponsors.

This year's competition attracted nearly 1,700 high school students from more than 60 countries and territories. There were more than 1,000 projects in 22 fields competing at the competition. The Vietnamese delegation participated with 9 projects in 6 fields. The specific achievements of the Vietnamese delegation are as follows:

The Vietnamese student delegation achieved the highest result in the more than 10-year history of competing at the Regeneron ISEF International Science and Engineering Fair (Photo: MOET).

Huynh Huy Hung and Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang) won second prize in the field of robots and smart machines, with the topic "TalkieVBot - Robot supportingeducation for children with language disabilities".

Do Ha Phuong and Nguyen Duc Thai (Viet Duc High School, Hanoi ) won second prize in the chemistry field with the topic "High-performance lithium vanadium oxide oxidation material for environmental treatment".

Pham Quang Phuc An and Nguyen Mai Khue (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) won third prize in the field of biomedical engineering with the topic "Developing a solution to support the assessment of male reproductive health at home".

Students Dang Tran Bao Anh and Mai Tam Trang (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) won the fourth prize with the topic "Research on creating antibodies to neutralize Bolutinum Type A toxin based on nanobody technology".

Le Minh Hieu and Cao Trung Quan (Quang Tri Town High School) won the fourth prize with the topic "Self-propelled wheelchair to support people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in moving and communicating".

Ha Nhat Bao and Nguyen Tan Duc (Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City) won fourth prize with the topic "Application of deep learning in automatic music composition, orientation for preserving and developing Southern amateur music".

In addition, the Vietnamese student delegation also won 4 special prizes awarded by the sponsors of the competition to projects that were assessed as having great potential, specifically:

The project "Developing solutions to support male reproductive health assessment at home" by Pham Quang Phuc An and Nguyen Mai Khue (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) received 2 special prizes.

Two projects also won special prizes: "Research on creating antibodies to neutralize Botulinum Type A toxin based on nanobody technology" by Dang Tran Bao Anh and Mai Tam Trang (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi); the project "High-performance lithium vanadium oxide oxidation material for environmental treatment" by Do Ha Phuong and Nguyen Duc Thai (Viet Duc High School, Hanoi).

This achievement contributes to enhancing the position of Vietnamese education in the international arena, while realizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
