Focus on accelerating your review
On May 21, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City announced that the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 2-3, with about 11,010 enrollment targets, including 10,296 targets for public high schools, including Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, and 714 targets for the continuingeducation system.
This year's 10th grade entrance exam saw a decrease of more than 1,000 students compared to last year, but the pressure of the exam has not decreased, especially for students aiming to enter top high schools such as Phan Chau Trinh High School, Hoang Hoa Tham High School, etc.

According to Phan Boi Chau Secondary School (Son Tra District, Da Nang City), with just over 10 days left until students officially take the exam, the school's review atmosphere is entering its peak period.
Mr. Trinh Quang Loc, Principal of Phan Boi Chau Secondary School, said that the school has arranged the review process for 9th grade students into 3 stages: systematizing knowledge, practicing test-taking skills and reviewing with real exam questions. Dividing the stages like this aims to help students have solid preparation and confidence to enter the important exam.
Not only focusing on accelerating knowledge review, secondary schools in Da Nang City pay special attention to students' psychology during the stressful exam review period. Teacher Trinh Quang Loc added that in the past time, the school has closely coordinated with parents to monitor students' psychological developments. In addition to encouraging their spirit, homeroom teachers also remind students to ensure a reasonable diet and rest, and avoid overstudying during the accelerated exam review period.
Thai Vu Nam Khanh, a 9/2 student at Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Hai Chau District), currently aiming to enter Phan Chau Trinh High School, said: "Besides school hours, I spend about 4-5 hours a day practicing for 3 subjects: math, literature and English. I often practice questions, both to test my knowledge and to get used to the pressure of time to do the test."

Similarly, Nguyen Ngan Ha, a 9/2 student at Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School (Cam Le District) is also speeding up her revision while maintaining an optimistic spirit. "Despite the great pressure, I always try to stay relaxed, study in groups with friends to share knowledge and encourage each other during this final stage," Ngan Ha shared.
As a parent whose child is studying for the 10th grade exam, Ms. Hoang Thanh Ha (residing in Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City), understands her child's anxiety and stress during this exam preparation period. Therefore, Ms. Ha and her family have created the most comfortable environment for her child to focus on studying, avoiding putting pressure on her child.
"My family has reminded me to rest properly. There are times when I am too stressed studying for exams, so I advise me to take time to relax, play sports , and go for a walk to regain energy. The whole family creates the best conditions for me to both study and relax, thereby creating a support for me to relieve pressure," said Ms. Ha.
Deploying many solutions to support students
To ensure the quality of exam preparation for 9th grade students, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City requires secondary schools in the area to develop sample exam questions, increase review sessions and implement learning support models to help students review effectively.
At Tay Son Secondary School (Hai Chau District), the timetable has been adjusted to increase review periods. Specifically, there are 6 periods per week for math and literature, and 4 periods per week for foreign languages (English and Japanese). In the final stage, students will review by topic and get acquainted with the official test format.

For Nguyen Van Linh Secondary School (Hoa Vang District), free tutoring classes for 3 exam subjects were implemented from the beginning of March 2025. In particular, the school built a "Love Classroom" model with the participation of teachers in the School Youth Union, helping students review on weekday evenings. Along with that, the "Friends progress together" model was applied to encourage students to study and support each other.
"These models not only help students learn better but also create a positive learning environment, connecting teachers and students and students with each other. That is extremely important when students enter a stressful learning period," said Ms. Le Thi Tam, Vice Principal of Nguyen Van Linh Secondary School.
