
Son Ca Island is considered a green oasis in the East Sea. Overcoming the difficulties of harsh weather, over the years, the army and people on the island have created a cool green living space. In addition to tall, wide-canopy trees that are many years old such as Tra, Mu U, Banyan, Coconut..., there are also pots of bougainvillea, orchids, frangipani, portulaca... adding to the beautiful appearance of the island.
Also from here, Lieutenant Colonel Tu Duc Thien, Deputy Political Commissar of Son Ca Island, sent a message to the mainland: "In the important moment when the whole country celebrates the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, we, the officers and soldiers of Son Ca Island, are promoting the peak emulation campaign "Raising the August Red Flag - Emulating to win 3 first prizes. The whole island has organized many meaningful and practical activities such as educating about the national historical traditions and the key political tasks of the unit. Organizing cultural and artistic forums, organizing sports competitions such as volleyball, Pickelpall; hanging the national flag, decorating the spiritual area, offering incense, watching live TV".

Senior Lieutenant Truong Minh Thang, Squad Leader, Combat Group 3, Son Ca Island excitedly shared: "Through watching on Vietnam Television, joining in the joy of Hanoi Capital bustling to welcome the Anniversary, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th National Day, on the remote island, we clearly feel the sacred atmosphere. We see more clearly our responsibility, always determined to keep the sea and sky of Truong Sa peaceful".
As a soldier who came to the island for the first time, Sergeant To Van Tin, the captain of artillery battery 23, Sinh Ton Dong island, affirmed that on a remote island, he and all the officers and soldiers on the island were very proud with their firm belief in the beloved mainland, joining in the joy of welcoming the country's September 2nd holiday.

Along with the heroic atmosphere of the people of the whole country is the pride of the people and soldiers who stick to the sea day and night. In the heart of every person on the remote island, there is always pride in being a child of Vietnam, born on the beloved S-shaped land, contributing a small part to protect the sacred sea and sky of the Fatherland.
