Con Dao National Park: A center of valuable biodiversity

Con Dao National Park, Ho Chi Minh City has an area of ​​198.8315 km² with functional subdivisions: forest conservation area (area 58.8315 km²) and marine conservation area (area 140 km²).

Con Dao National Park currently manages 14,000 hectares of wetlands with rich flora and fauna, diverse and abundant marine ecosystems. In particular, Con Dao National Park converges and preserves intact all 4 unique and rare forest and marine ecosystems in the world , and is the intersection of many marine creatures from both the North and South of the East Sea.

On October 12, in Abu Dhabi, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) awarded a certificate to Con Dao National Park as having achieved the Green List of protected areas and being effectively managed.

Being recognized on the IUCN Green List is not only a testament to effective management but also opens up a great opportunity for Con Dao to promote the image of responsible ecotourism . This title helps to enhance the position of Con Dao in the international arena, attracting conscious tourists who want to explore and join hands to protect nature.
