The Women's Union of Nhon Hoa Lap commune currently has 3,718 members operating in 15 hamlet branches. Every year, the Union reviews and develops members, at the same time promotes propaganda, raises awareness of multidimensional poverty reduction, and encourages the spirit of self-reliance among members.

Women's Union of Nhon Hoa Commune Disburses Fund for Women's Empowerment Supported by BAT Vietnam Company
Ms. Ho Thi Ngoan (residing in Kenh Nha Tho hamlet, Nhon Hoa Lap commune) escaped poverty in 2024. In March 2025, Ms. Ngoan borrowed 50 million VND from the job creation loan fund of the Social Policy Bank to buy materials to weave plastic baskets. Thanks to this job, her family has more income and gradually stabilized their lives.
Ms. Ngoan shared: “I am very happy to be introduced to a loan source by the Commune Women's Union. With the money to buy plastic basket weaving rope, I earn about 60,000 VND a day to support my family. In the near future, I plan to borrow more to expand my business.”
It is known that the Women's Association of Kenh Nha Tho Hamlet has 317 members. The Association is managing the capital entrusted from the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding debt of 2,815 billion VND, supporting 55 households to borrow to develop their family economy .
In recent times, the Women's Union of Nhon Hoa Lap commune has implemented many practical programs and models to support poor and near-poor women and women in difficult circumstances, such as models of farming, raising livestock and poultry; association groups led by women such as garment processing groups in Huynh Hon hamlet with 10 members, and basket weaving groups in Kenh Nha Tho hamlet with 25 members.
In addition to capital from the Social Policy Bank, the Commune Women's Union also mobilizes and manages revolving funds and savings of the branch to support women in investing in livestock, farming, small businesses or buying production tools. The Union also builds and implements the Women's Empowerment Program supported by BAT Vietnam Company, providing 40 households with interest-free loans, totaling 400 million VND.
Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Nhon Hoa Lap Commune, Nguyen Thi Chon, said: "The credit programs implemented by the Union are disbursed effectively, to the right subjects and purposes, and are regularly inspected and monitored. Many members have accessed loans, received technical training, boldly invested in production, gradually improved their income, escaped poverty, and stabilized their lives."
Thanks to the initiative and support of the Women's Union of Nhon Hoa Lap commune, many support programs and models have been practically effective, helping women access capital. Thereby, not only contributing to sustainable poverty reduction but also creating motivation for women to be confident, proactive, and contribute positively to the overall development of the locality./.
